  1. Hello class!
Great job on your replies to the blog. There were quite a few that were just stunning! Way to go A. Nguyen on your reply. C. Pool also did a great job in her peer response. Keep it up guys!

There were a few that were too short and did not take into account all the required factors of a response. Be sure to review the expectation of each response. Also, this is formal response, not a text message! No more bad grammar, abbreviations or incorrect spelling. Please edit your responses before you post them. Look for misspellings, run-on sentences, and abbreviations. For example, vocab is an abbreviation for vocabulary! :)

Keep up the good work! I am impressed with what I have seen thus far!

  2. 1. A difference between Fezziwig and Scrooge is how Fezziwig is much kinder and willing to enjoy the Christmas festivities. "You wouldn't believe how those two fellows went at it! They charged into the streets with the shutters--one, two, three--had 'em up in their places" Fezziwig also was very generous on the workload he gave them, which was to say, none! "No more work tonight!"

    2. Scrooge and the woman may have had a strict business contract plainly to increase profit."we could improve our worldly fortune by our patient industry." The relationship started to evolve into a personal one, but as time passed on, Scrooge started to keep to himself more. The lady had to leave him to find a more suitable partner, both financially and intimately."You fear the world too much."

  6. 1 ; Fezziwig is different because he is nicer & he enjoys Christmas unlike Scrooge which he doesn't like Christmas. For example " You wouldn't believe how those two fellows went at it!" The other reason is that he was easier on the other workers , he gave them less work. Example "Yo , Ho my boys! No more work tonight! Christmas Eve, Dick." page 32 .

2 ; They both worked alot for increasing the profits . Worth it for more . And they both pretty much look like they don't want to do anything to help . "You fear the world too much . All your other hopes have merged into the hope of being beyond the chance of its sordid reproach." page 34 .

  7. Question 1: One thing different about them is Fezziwig likes Christmas and Scrooge doesn't. Also Fezziwig was a kind man and Scrooge was not. " No more work tonight. Christmas Eve , dick. Christmas , Ebenezer! Let's have the shutters up," " before a man can say, Jack Robinson!". Question 2: The girl was Scrooges sister. " I am. That which promised happiness when we were one in heart, is fraught with misery now that we are two. How often and how keenly I have thought of this, I will not say. It is enough that I have thought of it, and can release you." page 35 S. Siefkas

  8. One reason Scrooge and Frezziwig is that Frezziwig is all about adventure and outgoing while Scrooge is negative and quiet. It show in the text evidence "Hilli-ho!"cried old Fezziwig, from the high desk, with wonderful agility. He is all loud and positive. In the text evidence for Scrooge, where it says "Humbug!" said Scrooge;and walked across the room."
Another reason is that Frezziwig is in love with Christmas while Scrooge hates Christmas with all of his heart. On page four it shows with text evidence that Scrooge says "Merry Christmas! What right have you to be merry? What reason do you have to be merry? Your poor enough."

    2. The relationship between the girl and Scrooge is that they are business partners. The text evidence is not exact but I did do some inferencing when it said "Our contract is an old one." I think that because if it is their contract, most contracts are for business purpose.

  9. My second question is that they made a contract to each other when they were poor that's why they were together"It was made when we were poor and content to be so."Pg.34

Scrooge replied" (page 7) and Fezziwig was ok with spending money " He has spent but a few pounds of your mortal money: three or four, perhaps. Is that so much that he deserves prasie?"
