This 6 weeks we will be reading A Christmas Carol. At the end of every chapter, we will have a question in response to literature. You are expected to answer the question posted within 2 days of finishing reading the chapter in class. Every post will have a due date. In your response, please site:
1)Your answer supported by what you have read.
2)Textual evidence in relation to the question.
3)Complete sentences. No abbreviations or text lingo!
You will also be required to reply to a peer. In your peer reply please:
1)Agreed or disagree with their idea/evidence
2)Provide constructive feedback in relation to their answer
3)Include the name of the peer that you are replying to.
Example:
The character Scrooge shows so much character development throughout the book. The author's description of him at the beginning of the text as"...text evidence..." is a strong comparison to his generous character displayed at the end of the novel as a"...text evidence..." This is a parallel to the author's purpose of wanting his audience to have hope of change in the societal struggles seen during the Victorian Era and that if people would choose to help one another, then the burdens of poverty and want could be lessened.
Peer Response : Mrs. Nyvall, I agree that Scrooge really changes over the course of the book. However, I think that a more appropriate text evidence in found on page number where Scrooge buys the Cratchits a turkey. "....actual text from the book..." page number.
Don't forget put your first initial and last name when you post kiddos. No full names!!!!
